Unilock pieces and square feet per bundle
Unilock sells in full bundles, on a required, refundable skid. The figures below are from Unilock’s 2026 product data for its Chicago plant, and they’re the numbers to divide your patio by. A bundle of 60 mm Hollandstone is 10 layers of 54, which is 540 pieces at 0.22 square feet each, or 118 square feet. The 80 mm heavy-duty version is 7 layers on the same footprint, so 378 pieces and 82.6 square feet.
Random bundles (Umbriano, Courtstone, Beacon Hill, Treo) mix sizes so the piece count means little. Use the square feet. A 60 mm Umbriano bundle is 80 slabs and 116.6 square feet, and a Beacon Hill Flagstone bundle at 80 mm is 56 pieces and 81.6.
| Unilock product | Unit | Thickness | Pieces per bundle | Sq ft per bundle |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hollandstone | 4 × 8 in | 60 mm | 540 | 118.0 |
| Hollandstone | 4 × 8 in | 80 mm | 378 | 82.6 |
| Holland Premier | 4 × 8 in | 60 mm | 540 | 118.0 |
| Holland Premier | 4 × 8 in | 80 mm | 378 | 82.6 |
| Series | 4 × 8 in | 60 mm | 540 | 117.9 |
| Town Hall | 4 × 10 in | 70 mm | 320 | 89.6 |
| Copthorne | 2.5 × 8 in | 60 mm | 600 | 89.2 |
| Courtstone | random bundle | 60 mm | 384 | 98.3 |
| Brussels Block | small (56 per layer) | 70 mm | 448 | 88.7 |
| Brussels Block | medium (30 per layer) | 70 mm | 240 | 94.9 |
| Brussels Block | large (12 per layer) | 70 mm | 120 | 95.7 |
| Umbriano | random bundle | 60 mm | 80 | 116.6 |
| Beacon Hill Flagstone | random bundle | 80 mm | 56 | 81.6 |
| Treo Smooth | random bundle | 60 mm | 210 | 109.0 |
Weight follows thickness. An 80 mm Hollandstone bundle is 2,944 lb, a 60 mm Umbriano bundle 3,194 lb, and Courtstone 2,326 lb, so a single bundle is a forklift job and not a pickup load. Bundle counts differ between Unilock plants and change with the product year, so check the tag on the bundle or the current data sheet for your region before you order.
How many bundles for a patio
Multiply the patio area by 1.08 for cutting waste, divide by the square feet per bundle, and round up. A 12 by 12 patio is 144 square feet, which is 156 square feet with waste and 1.32 bundles of Hollandstone, so you buy two and finish with about 320 spare pavers. That spare stock is the right outcome, because a matching batch bought later rarely matches.
Eight percent suits a rectangle in running bond. Herringbone and curved edges cut most of the perimeter pieces and want 10 to 15 percent, which can tip a patio into the next bundle.
| Patio | Area | Hollandstone 60 mm (118 sq ft) | Town Hall (89.6 sq ft) | Beacon Hill 80 mm (81.6 sq ft) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 × 10 ft | 100 sq ft | 1 (495 pavers) | 2 | 2 |
| 12 × 12 ft | 144 sq ft | 2 (712 pavers) | 2 | 2 |
| 12 × 16 ft | 192 sq ft | 2 (949 pavers) | 3 | 3 |
| 16 × 20 ft | 320 sq ft | 3 (1582 pavers) | 4 | 5 |
| 20 × 20 ft | 400 sq ft | 4 (1977 pavers) | 5 | 6 |
| 20 × 30 ft | 600 sq ft | 6 (2966 pavers) | 8 | 8 |
Under the pavers you still need 4 inches of compacted base on an excavation that runs 6 inches past every edge, and 1 inch of bedding sand. The paver calculator does that part and the gravel calculator turns it into tons.
How many square feet of pavers are on a pallet
Most 60 mm Holland pallets sit in the 100 to 120 square foot band, and the real count is on the pallet tag. Pavestone stacks 480 for 103 square feet, Unilock 540 for 118, Belgard 540 for 120. Large-format pallets drop to 100 twelve-inch squares or 64 eighteen-inch ones, which is 100 and 144 square feet.
Order against coverage rather than piece count. The 700 bricks a 12 by 12 patio needs in 4 by 8 is 1.5 Pavestone pallets or 1.3 Unilock bundles, and either way you buy two.
| Pallet | Pieces | Sq ft per pallet |
|---|---|---|
| Pavestone Holland, 60 mm | 480 | 103 |
| Unilock Hollandstone, 60 mm | 540 | 118 |
| Belgard Holland, 60 mm | 540 | 120 |
| Oldcastle Holland, 60 mm | 486 | about 105 |
| Pavestone Holland, 45 mm | 672 | 145 |
| 12 × 12 in squares | 100 | 100 |
| 18 × 18 in squares | 64 | 144 |
Pavers per square foot by size, and the 10 by 10 patio
The multipliers work on any area. Figure 4.5 pavers per square foot for 4 by 8 brick, 4 for 6 by 6, 2.25 for 8 by 8, exactly 1 for 12 by 12, 0.56 for 16 by 16 and 0.25 for 24 by 24 slabs. A 10 by 10 patio in 16 by 16 pavers is 57 pieces exact and 61 with waste, though the layout is 8 rows of 8 with a cut along two edges, because 120 inches isn’t a multiple of 16.
A nominal 4 by 8 unit measures about 3 7/8 by 7 7/8 inches with the joint making up the difference, so the nominal arithmetic lands right. String the diagonals before the first course. Two inches of skew across a 10 by 10 puts a cut on every edge.
| Paver size | Sq ft each | Per sq ft | For 100 sq ft, exact | With 8% waste |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 × 8 in | 0.22 | 4.50 | 450 | 487 |
| 6 × 6 in | 0.25 | 4.00 | 400 | 432 |
| 8 × 8 in | 0.44 | 2.25 | 225 | 244 |
| 12 × 12 in | 1.00 | 1.00 | 100 | 108 |
| 16 × 16 in | 1.78 | 0.56 | 57 | 61 |
| 24 × 24 in | 4.00 | 0.25 | 25 | 27 |

Common questions
How many Unilock pavers are in a bundle?
540 for Hollandstone or Holland Premier at 60 mm, 378 at 80 mm, 320 for Town Hall, 600 for Copthorne. Random bundles like Umbriano (80 slabs) and Courtstone (384) mix sizes, so go by square feet. Figures are Unilock’s 2026 Chicago data and vary by plant.
How many square feet does a bundle of Unilock pavers cover?
118 square feet for 60 mm Hollandstone or Holland Premier, 82.6 for the 80 mm, 89.6 for Town Hall, 89.2 for Copthorne, 98.3 for Courtstone, 116.6 for Umbriano and 81.6 for Beacon Hill Flagstone at 80 mm.
How many bundles of Unilock pavers do I need for a 12x12 patio?
Two bundles of 60 mm Hollandstone. The patio is 144 square feet, 156 with 8 percent waste, and a bundle covers 118, so 1.32 bundles rounds up to two. In Town Hall it’s also two, and in 80 mm Hollandstone it’s two as well.
How many square feet of pavers are on a pallet?
Usually 100 to 120 for a 60 mm Holland pallet: Pavestone 103, Unilock 118, Belgard 120. Large-format pallets are 100 square feet of 12 by 12 or 144 of 18 by 18. The pallet tag has the real count.
How many 16x16 pavers for a 10x10 patio?
57 exact, so buy 61 with 8 percent waste. A 16 by 16 paver is 1.78 square feet and 100 ÷ 1.78 is 56.25. Laid out it’s 8 rows of 8 with a cut on two edges, because 120 inches is 7.5 pavers.
Does Unilock sell part bundles?
Unilock’s product data says it sells in full bundles only, on a required, refundable skid. Some dealers break bundles over the counter, so ask, but plan on whole bundles and keep the spares for repairs.
How much does a bundle of Unilock pavers weigh?
About 2,944 lb for 80 mm Hollandstone, 3,194 lb for 60 mm Umbriano, 2,349 lb for Copthorne and 2,326 lb for Courtstone, per the 2026 Chicago data. That’s a forklift or a truck with a lift gate, not a pickup.
